So, as part of my thesis, I've been exploring 55-word short stories. They're fun, and often grim and thought provoking. I stumbled onto this one and it made me laugh and think all at the same time.
Pills

She slams the empty pill canister on the table with such force that the orange plastic cracks slightly. “I took these,” Her voice quivers. “All of them.” Tom sighs and slowly folds his newspaper with painstaking deliberation. Finished, he reaches up and adjusts his glasses. He clears his throat. “Are you breaking up with me?”

lmao hunny, arent people funny and strange, i can almost see that situation unfolding all over the world, the genders can easily be swapped too.....hope ur going ok hunny...thinking of u
