Hi, My name is Dale. I'm 46 years old as of the date this profile was created (May-08). I am a divorced, single Dad to three great kids (all teens). As wonderful as they are, they are also a challenge. All teens can be difficult. Yet, all three of mine seem to have inherited the 'family disease' - depression, general anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, ADHD, just to name a few. My father has also struggled with depression and anxiety. I've been dealing with my own demons for the past 25 years or so (maybe more). In March of 2008, I was diagnosed with Bipolar II disorder. After the initial shock wore off, I began working to gather as much information as possible. I was in this research mode when I discovered Edwina's website. The information on this site has been very helpful. But, what has been most helpful is the people that post in the chat room and on the message board. Hearing from people who have struggled with bipolar for numerous years has been both enlightening and encouraging. Just knowing that there are others out there who experience the same thing has been truly a blessing. What else do I share here? Well, I'm an accountant and I live near Washington DC. I enjoy sports, listening to music, and dancing. I have played guitar off and on for about 30 years. I'm not great, but I am in a band right now which is a lot of fun.
